Tree & Weed Allergies? The Reason for NAET

Written by Katherine M. Coleman, M.N.T.

Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques (NAET) is form of alternative medicine to treating allergies and inflammatory response of the immune system against environmental agents (pollen, dust mites, animal dander, trees) that come into contact with the skin or internal barrier system.

When an allergic or sensitized individual is exposed to an allergen, chemicals are released in the body and will display allergy symptoms. The parts of the body that are prone to react to allergies include the eyes, nose, lungs, skin, and stomach. While symptoms may present individually, they all result from an exaggerated immune response to foreign substances. The typical response is sneezing, itchy eyes, watery nose, and nasal drip.

Although it’s not fully understood clinically, a neurological component is known to drive allergic reactions. This neurological response affects the immune response but is not limited to what is known as an IgE reaction. When Dr. Starling does an NAET Allergy Clearing, she clears the neurological and IgE realm, as well as other types of reactions, such as complement immune reactions.

This immune response is different than a delayed sensitivity reaction, which includes leaky gut or food allergy contamination, and allow unwanted proteins to enter the bloodstream triggering an immune response. Those may be immediate or delayed up to 72 hours, however it is more of a chronic allergy response rather than seasonal.Individuals often don’t associate fatigue, nasal drip, foggy brain, sneezing, eczema, skin issues, etc. as a problem, when they do in fact lay a foundation for an increased seasonal response. There is no need to suffer though, because the seasonal allergy response can be cleared and easily retrained with the help of NAET.

In addition to NAET allergy clearings, you may include the following practical tips:

  • Natural D-Hist by Ortho Molceular provides support for nasal and sinus passages. It contains quercetin, stinging nettles leaf, bromelain, and N-acetyl L-Cystein, all shown to support mucosal tissue and reduce sinus symptoms. Take two capsules three times per day for 7-10 days. Available at our office.
  • Neti pots are great for sinus infections as well, acting as a nasal irrigator. Bathing the sinus cavities in a warm saline solution can reduce symptoms of allergies, in addition to cold, flu, and other nasal problems.
